I saw this online and debated on looking at it, it's a ways off. Anyone know what model White it is? gm

It looks like an older MTD. Probably about 25 years old. They have the White name as well as at least a dozen others on their stuff. The machine was just a basic lawnmower, a little on the cheap side. If I was you and I wanted an older mower, I would look for a Cub Cadet, Deere, Wheel Horse, or some such.

Its one of the smaller MTD built Whites, the step thru design started in/around the early 90s and by that time MTD was also building the Cub Cadets. If you go back into the late 70s/80s the MTD White had some big heavy tractors such as the Yardboss line... those will send the JDs home from the tractor pulls in the first round.
