Has anyone changed the old mechanical fuel pump to an electric pump can you still buy a new fuel pump ?

Onan no longer sells them. But they are out there. New electric pumps are easy to find. You need a low pressure pump less than 5 pounds. Easy to install and wire up. If you want to keep the old pump it is easy to repair. Check with the guys at Smokstak plenty of guys willing to help and may have what you need.

We do like to have the full model and serial number. To make sure you get the proper answer. I sold two kits last year. So I know they are out there.

Yes. I bought a very small 12v in line fuel pump at a local parts store and powered it off the ignition switch. Worked good.

I know I replied to this but it is gone. Happens a lot on this site.

Anyway
Contact this guy:

http://boomersonanparts.com/

he'll have what you need, at least he has always had anything Onan I needed.

Hours and phone on his site.

I think boomer works mainly on the tractor side of Onan. You would do well to contact him. I work mainly on the generator side.

That's true but the ccka/b was used in several premium tractors back in the day. Simplicity/AC/Case used them on high end machines and Boomer has some parts.

The old pump is easy to rebuild unless it is in really bad shape. Price depends on who has the kit. I know a man that has some Onan parts. He bought an old Onan dealer out. I can see what he he has. He is not some guy trying to get rich. Like some people.
