Wheel Horse 80 questions

My friend has an older Wheel Horse which he removed the engine and had it rebuilt, and re installed it. It's mostly together, but he suffered a stroke and cannot remember how the rest went together. I looked it over and cannot see how the throttle cable hooks up, or where it does. It also has 2 rectangular black plastic electrical plugs with no apparent place to plug them in, And 1 wire with a round terminal on the end, where does it go? And the gas tank is plastic with a petcock inserted in the bottom through a rubber sleeve. The sleeve is cracked and looks like the petcock/strainer assembly could be replaced also. Any idea where to find these parts? Pics to follow.

Toro bought Wheel Horse probably 20 years ago. Armed with your model & serial number you can look up parts at Toro.com, I think you can still order parts from any Toro dealer, maybe just bigger dealers. Red square is a big wheel horse forum with all kinds of info., there's others too. Ebay has a million parts new and old.
I've had a bunch of horses but never an 8 hsp., all the bigger Kohler single cylinder engs. have about the same throttle linkage. I took some quick picts. of my 14 horse tiller tractor eng.. Hard to see without removing the muffler and air cleaner assembly. I've never needed many parts for my tractors, there just about indestructible but if I need something I go to a place in Rockford Illinois that was a big dealer.

One rectangular three wire plug might go to a rectifier/regulator behind dash stand, might have an ammeter there too. Single terminal might go to a clutch pedal switch.

The 3 wire plug I already plugged into the rectifier. There are 2 2 wire plugs I can't see anywhere they go, plus the one wire circular terminal that probably goes through a bolt or screw. I'm having trouble loading pics on this site...

Type Wheel Horse B80 throttle linkage images in your search box and you'll get plenty to check out. I figured it would be like the shiny red pict. but suppose it could be like the other too.

Might be able to find a wiring diagram the same way.

GAB, thanks so much for those pics. I never thought to look under the carb! That looks very much like where the throttle cable should hook up! But the tractor is 50 miles east of me. he's going to order the petcock and fuel tank grommet, and when that comes in, I'll be able to make more progress. I also did score a wiring diagram off the Red Square website, someone there was very helpful.
