briggs twin fuel pump

hello to all, i need help rebuilding a fuel pump on a twin 16 hp briggs,,,, is there a site where i could print step by step illustrations of how its done. i know it sounds silly but since my stroke it is difficult to recall things i use to do in my sleep,,good example is not being able to tie shoe laces or any other rope knots.appreciate any help ,and may God bless you and yours john

You probably have the older metal pump. I found it really difficult to put those kits in due to the tight fit of some of the rubber parts. So, I just replace them with the newer plastic pumps. Faster, cheaper and work great. They are a bolt in replacement.

On ebay just type in Briggs twin fuel pump. All kinds of stuff pops up. If you have one that looks like the picture just plunk down the 16 bucks plus a little shipping. Look around and I bet you will find a better deal. If yours is different look at the rebuild kits listed till you find a match. Plenty easy.

i don't want to cause further confusion, But is this 'twin' the one that has the fuel pump in the side of the carburetor?

If it is the later V-twin, just use the plastic fuel pump like everyone suggested. I don't think Briggs even offers an OEM kit for the metal pump any more. And In our shop they are less than $30.

Took this shot today. This is the pump on the front right side of my 21hp. BRIGGS V twin. They work great for something so cheap
