Simplicity Model V 2 walk behind tractor woes

Hello gentlemen,, Long time no visit here.. I'm building a "Rat Rod" transportation tractor for tractor shows. I took my 2 wheel tractor , added 34-12.5-16LT and alloy wheels from my CUCV truck. Added 8 hp with electric start and alternator, fabbed a hood and grill similar to 725 lawn tractor, front LED headlights , tail lights and stop lights on the modified dump cart, also with Chevy Blazer rally wheels and radials from the wifes Avalon. Everything works and looks great with the exception of steering. Sometimes it steers exceptionally and sometimes it won't steer to the left at all.. I pulled the hubs apart today and cleaned, freed up parts , lubed everything. Still steers terrible most of the time .. What am I missing here ?

AH, the perils of a locked axle. The ratchets in the hubs drive whichever wheel is going slowest, and when you turn its driving the inside
wheel only. Because of this, it tends to fight you in the turns.

Since you made all the other modifications, Why not install a differential axle?

Looks like i'll have to do a transaxle swap into it. I'd hate to run someone over at the shows... Thanks
