Backup switch

I am an oldish guy who does not let anyone else run his JD534X tractor.
No wife, no children do my work, sigh.

I do alot of backing and forthing on my snow blower and lawn mower and it is getting TO BE A PAIN to always be lifting the PTO to keep things running when I choose to back up.

Has anyone successfully made a switch "up" block? Where would be the easiest place to defeat that feature? At the switch or down on the???

Please be sparing of the lectures on safety, JD, lawyers, product liability, chance for backing over babies in the grass, etc.

Good Idea! However most or all newer equipment Mowers will not run if you try and disable the safety switches or bypass the switch.

Sure it doesn't have a backup override? Every rider I have seen over the last 15 years has some way to override the backup safety. Usually on the key switch.

if you have the unit that you need to pull up more on the button to back, all you need to do is use clothes pin and clip it in the up extended position,or small alligator clip to hold it up,done it for years that way when I had a green unit. other wise there is a override setting in most of the ign key settings nowdays
