MTD 21 hp variable belt drive mower

Double variable pulley nest keeps coming loose. Have tried new
bolt, loctite, and all the torque I can give it. Still only get
about an hour run time before it loses it....

If you can't keep it tight, replace all affected parts, another bolt and all. I don't know what you mean by 'nest', though. And from that description, I can't tell where its loosening up.

Keep in mind that on some MTD models, if that bracket the pulley mounts to bolts to the left frame rail, it probably uses metric bolts. At least only a Metric wrench fits them. They are the only metric bolts on the mower besides the engine.
