I'M looking for any info on a Scotts tiller model #6070S. I acquired this tiller from a friend and it was all in pieces. Been trying to find service manual to no avail. Anyone have a service manual or pictures on how the cable linkage hooked up.

All Scotts stuff was made by other parties. A picture might help someone on here identify what you really have.

(For instance, some Scotts mowers were same as Deere 'Sabre' series mowers. Other Scotts mowers were made by Murray before it went kaput and ended up part of Briggs and Stratton.)
 
This is a tiller. I contacted John Deere they do not handle the Scott tiller, and have no or cannot get a service manual for this model. I down loaded a parts manual, but it does not show how the cables or idlers attach, or where the reverse idler goes. Their parts manual leaves alot to desire..

I will try to get pictures and post in the next couple of days..

I know this is an old thread, just wondering if anyone had any luck with service manual. Also I managed to find the operator manual with exploded parts view for this tiller if anyone needs it.

(If you don't trust anyone online, you can do a 30-day free trial to scribd and get it from there.
