Can anyone please help me out I am trying
to figure out how to replace a bent
pushrod in my GX345 John Deere mower.

Which engine? Kawasaki or Kohler? or Briggs even?

First, you need to know why it bent. If that problem is not addressed, you will probably bend the new push rod in short order.
Did the valve seize in the guide? Are there old fuel deposits all over it? Did the valve guide move and bind the rocker?

After you resolve the cause, just remove the rocker, put one end of the pushrod in the pocket in the tappet, the put the pocket end of the rocker arm over the other end and adjust the valve to spec. (If its a Kohler 'Command' series you just tighten the bolt, the engine has hydraulic lifters.)

For most overhead Briggs and Kawasaki engines I use .003 tappet clearance. (Gives about .004 clearance when the setscrew locks it down.)
For Kohler, if its a courage, or 7000 or 8000 series, .004 should work.
