When the drive quit working correctly, I bought a new mower. The 165 sat for two years. To start for the first time each year, I found it easier if I primed the carb. by filling the gas line, until it was full of gas. This spring I have started it a few times. About the only way to get it started is to add gas to the carb. It is as if the carb is empty of gas, each time. After I shut it off, I looked it over to see if it was leaking, but I did not see any wet spots. I mowed leaves for about twenty minutes yesterday and it ran good. I bet it will start today, but not two days from now. Could the problem be a weak fuel pump? Or is it a carb problem? If I can get this mower to start reliably, My son will be using it to cut his mother's lawn.
