In 1998, there were some posts related to Gemco Big Boy lawn tractors. Since then, I've obtained one and am looking for some info on it. A) Did it ever have brakes, or was this one of those things where you pulled the "go forward" lever back into the friction disc for reverse and braking? B) I have a plow, allegedly for it, and some broken mounting (?) and lifting (?) pieces, but can't quite figger out the operation. Any help out there?
I'm kind of surprised that it's been 10 years and no discussion on this rig. It is very well made and I'd like to get it running. The multiple chains, for driving and steering, were rusted solid from exposure, but that's OK now. The Briggs was seized solid, but that's turning & waiting for attention.
