Briggs Carb Welch Plug

I have a 2012 6 hp app. Briggs pushmower engine with OHV . The new kind with the all plastic carb basically . There's a welch plug that's came out in the float / bowl area . What can I use to glue it back in ? Something that will hold and will hold up to gas as well as heat and vibaration ? I tried cheap super glue and apparently that didn't work . Maybe I didn't let it dry long enough 1 Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance !

I have found that once they come out that is the end of one staying in on its own. I have never saw a glue that will stick to the plastic without roughing it up with course sand paper first.

One trick I have had good luck with is melting the plastic. Insert the welsh plug and use a small flat object like a screw driver. Heat it hot enough to melt the plastic. Place the hot screw driver against the wall just above the welsh plug and push down and pull the melted plastic over the edge of the plug like using a puddy knife. Three or four evenly spaced points around the plug will normally hold it. Then let it cool naturally.

You do not want to melt the plastic all the way around the plug. For it makes them to hard to get out if needed, and you do not want to melt to far into the wall of plastic.
