I found that out a few years ago my self. I tried cheap belts and they want work. FYI the part numbers are as follow. Primary belt part number is M82258 and secondary belt is number M44121. I have this one torn down to the frame, almost ready to start back together.

These really are tough little machines. The cub cadets, bolens, simplicity, wheel horse, and others that had real BRASS to be called a "tractor" . Years ago one of the manufacturers ran a team of mowers across the country. Have no idea how much support they had or how much of the original machines were left. Then you run into these. Just too dang funny.
