John Deere 110/112 barn find

Yesterday I hauled home a 110/112 round fender lawn tractor. Now I'm trying to figure out exactly which it is . The hood says 110, I know that could have easily been swamped out over the years. It has a 10 hp Tecumseh hh 100 engine. Serial number reads; NT1031060562M. So can someone tell me for sure if it's a 110 or a 112. I think it's a 67 year model but not sure of that. It is definitely a round fender!!

Hope I am not all wet. The one my folks had "110" had a Kohler K series engine. Sounds like you have a re- engine.

AFAIK, all 110's left the factory with Kohler engines, either the original 7 HP or the later 8 HP, and the 112's had various choices of Tecumseh or Kohler engines over the years.

For detailed model info, check out the weekendfreedommachines website.

I did some more searching and found that it is in fact a 112 with the original 10 hp Tecumseh engine. I have got it pretty well taken apart now and will be ready to try to start the engine as soon as I get the starter pulley that bolts to the flywheel. The pulley was rusty and just came apart when I turned the engine over with the starter.

Here are some pictures of it.

That is nice Mark. I've restored several 110's with Kohler engines but this is the first with a Tecumseh. Did you build your own front end or did you buy the kit? I'm thinking about making this one tricycle front.

Thanks for the pictures Mark, I may make my own also after I see how many dollars it takes to get it looking like yours. I may Need a steering gear and shaft for mine, it has a good bit of slack in it. I'm taking it off and apart and see what looks like. If anyone has one they want to part with message me here. Thanks again. Larry
