Surburban 12 value

I was just wondering if someone knew the value of our surburban 12 garden tractor. We got it on a trade for work and it wasn't running at the time. My husband has got it running like a champ strong motor. Lights work and has 8 attachments that came with it. We love the thing and aren't looking to sell it but as we all know life can happen and I was just wondering how much it would actually be worth.[size=9:eb52078340][/size:eb52078340] thanks for any information in advance

If it's not running 0. I do small engine repair and I get a lot of garden tractors given to me. Most of the time you will pay more to have it fixed
then it worth.

Hi Rideordie4life, the Suburban is probably worth 3/4 hundred dollars in good running condition now the attachments can be worth more depending what they are how about listing what you have. A 42 inch deck in very good condition approx $100.00 if a 48 inch add $50.00+

Cant place an actual value on it not knowing what attachments you got or the condition of them but
unless you got a loader with it the value is pretty low sorry to say. If you have any use for it even
just to drag a trailer around the yard the value to you is worth more than the market for such. Since
people know we work on mowers they bring those old riders here after being for sale forever and unless
it is in absolutely exceptional condition the best I do is let them leave it here. Rusty, non running
units I won't even let them unload, costs me more to haul them to scrap than what I get for them. The
market for such is small and just plain saturated.

Suburban is one of the most common garden
tractors. Unfortunately, I think the
Suburban 12 has a Tecumseh engine, which is
a huge negative to most. Most of those
engines had an electronic ignition that
works one minute and doesn't the next. No
parts for that system have been available
for years. Recently, a company did come up
with a fix, but costs more than the
equipment the engine is on is worth.

Hi Sprint6, the Tecumseh engines used in the Sears Suburbans are an excellent engine they are cast iron built to last and they do if maintained yes Tecumseh built a lot of less than desirable engines as has any other engine maker. Tecumseh Snow King engines were/are some of the best blower engines available. You are saying B&S and Kohler has no ignition problems I don't think so Kohlers Breakerless ignition was bad enough that they came out with a retrofit kit to go back to points B&S has had their share of less then stellar ignitions, keep in mind the Tecumseh SSI (solid stat ignition) was one of the very first electronic ignitions developed in 1967 that 52 years ago and I have several that are working fine and there is now an aftermarket system that is a plug and play the works excellent and my Suburbans are worth the cost if needed in fact I have a 16 HP with the system.

I know the Sears Surburban Roper are collectable but don't know about value. Attachments add lots to value depending on what you have. I know a guy who has a few and that is what he uses for mowing and snow removal.
