Case 220 hydraulic remote and pump

I am looking for the correct set up for adding a hydraulic remote to a case 220, I would be interested in complete with pump or without. Thanks

The 220 CASE uses a single hydraulic pump to handle all aspects of the hydraulics. There is an item known as a "rear PTO kit" that consists of a control valve, hydraulic lines and a mounting bracket. This kit is used to power log splitters, bush hog field mowers, finishing mower, rototillers as so forth. Used kits can often be found on e-bay for sale. However, it is important to obtain the correct kit for your tractor to ensure that the kit will FIT. This where the Parts Manuals come in along with the importance of the PIN or Product Identification Number that is shown on the metal tag fixed to the dashboard of the donor tractor and the recipient tractor.

Thank you for the information, the PIN number is 9780137, please advise if that is the same as a serial number or is that the number for all tractors made in a given year?

In my opinion, your tractor is an early 1980, meaning that it was likely built in the latter part of of 1979. The PIN is unique to your tractor. Every CASE tractor was given its own PIN and no two tractors ever had the same PIN. Essentially, the PIN is the same as a serial number but CASE never called them "serial numbers". The Parts Manuals cover a specific run of PIN's. When CASE changed the way they built each tractor model, a newer Parts Manual was issued. In essence, CASE divided the manuals up in accordance with the "build" of the tractor and not by the so-called "YEAR" of the tractor. What is important for you to know is that CASE used different hydraulic lines or a different mounting bracket for the control valve etc, etc as the BUILD changed. That is why you need obtain the PIN of the donor tractor for any used parts you contemplate purchasing. Shipping parts is not cheap. You need to be smart, do your homework first before making a BID or making a private purchase.

You can add the remote , but if your
220 is like mine , I do not have hydraulic lift
The remote was used in a lot of rear
Attachments with a sleeve hitch set up or
3 point for the bigger tractors 444 , 446 448
not sure if 3 point was made for 220 .
When buying remotes be sure the metal
tubing is correct for your model ,

I don't know where you are located but there is a fellow who travels around to most of the Ohio and Indiana swap meets with a huge pile of Case garden tractor parts. I don't know his name or have contact info but I'd bet if you ask around you will get it as he is pretty well known. He always has a pile of PTOs. I have purchased from him and he is reasonable.

Just so happens I am traveling to Tiffin Ohio and then to Sunman Indiana later this month, do you know of any swap meets that will be taking place in Ohio or Indiana in January? I saw signs on I-65 one time on the Indiana side somewhere near the Indiana/Kentucky line for a big flea market and swap meet that I think said open every week end.

CASE never made a 3 point hitch for the 200 Series Lo Pro models. However, Ingersoll developed an updated 3 point that would work on ALL tractor models. If you desire a 3 point hitch, then that is the one to buy.

I will do some checking and see if I can come up with some contact information. He is always at the Portland IN shows and swaps and have seen him at quite a few other shows. You might ask over on the Case forum here, only way I know to describe him is he is a scruffy type and will talk your leg off and only deals in Case garden tractor stuff. Not much to go on but people here have I.D.ed others for me with less information, LOL
