Are parts readily available for this unit? I know that different areas of the country command different prices for this unit, but in general what would the value of a unit with 1200 hours on working hour meter that is in good operational unit command in price from an individual. Any opinion appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a G1900 and have never been told a part is not available but in truth my parts needs have been minimal. A visit to your local dealer should get you a definitive answer. I dont see many 2000s for sale but the diesel versions G1800 and 1900 command around $2000 With similar hours and in good condition. A gas engine hurts the value to most purchasers would think?

Thanks for your input. I have purchased the unit I was speaking of for $1100.00. It has a leaking valve cover gasket and the tires show aging/dry rot but hold air OK. The mower( 54 inch Kubota) works well and was not noisy during inspection. It has 4 wheel steer and all appears in good working operation during my test drive. I felt I was getting a good deal for the quality of this Kubota even though it is greater than 20 years old. I plan on using it for mowing duties on my 5 acre Christmas tree farm.I choose this mower over a John Deere S240 sold at dealerships, due to the savings vs. quality received. The JD had an 18.5 HP air cooled Kawasaki engine and the same chassis that the 100 series have, sold at Lowes and comparable big box stores, and cost new was $2699.00. The JD was a lawn tractor, not a garden tractor, so I felt that even though the JD would be new, it might not give me the same service on a 5 acre, relatively flat, piece of ground that it would be working. I will provide update later this summer to see if I made the right choice. Thanks for the information.

You made a good choice, the G1800-2000 are as good as it gets with Kubota. The two main issues with them are largely operator induced. There us a hidden grease fitting under the front axle pivot that lubricates not only the pivot but the PTO shaft bearings. A couple pumps every 5 hours prevents high dollar repairs. The second issue is the radiator screen quickly gathers trash. It only takes 5 seconds to pull it and knock it off but people forget about it and don't watch the gauge.
