JD 112 no spark

So I got a John deere 112 got it to turn over and it's getting fuel, but I can't get spark I got a new condenser and coil on it but can't get no spark? Any info would be appreciated

You need a multimeter to make sure you have 12+ volts.
Start from the battery to the keyswitch to the positive side of the coil.
Check the wire that runs from the negative side of the coil to the points.
Check that the points open and close. That .020 measurement is for the points fully open.
Don't worry about timing until you get the engine running.

Potential trouble spots:
Key switches can go bad.
The circuit breaker at the solenoid can get stuck open.
The wire that runs from the negative side of the coil to the points can short out due to melted insulation.
The points can get a white residue from heat. Sand/file them clean and reset the gap.

Good luck!

on the 210 and 212 jd always found the wire that feeds coil used a slide on connector that was prone to corode,,,,i pulle it off the coil stud anand put a eye connector and a nut to hold it on and problem dissapeared

The round fender model 112 in 1966 and 1967 would have the HH100.
The square fender 112 could have a HH100 or
a ten horsepower Kohler K241 in 1969, 1970, and 1971.
In 1972, 1973, and 1974, it would have a twelve horsepower Kohler K301.
