thoughts on Husqvarna tiller

Looking at a CRT900L rear tine tiller a friend has. Has only been used a couple times and seems to be in really good shape. It has a BS 208cc engine. From research this seems to have been made in 2012-13. What is the horsepower of the BS engine? Anyone have any experience with this tiller? New models seem to all have Husqvarna engines.

The engine was built after the lawsuit where Briggs was accused of claiming more horsepower than the engine was capable of producing. My guess is its about 5-1/2 or 6 hp. At least the early (Craftsman) versions of that tiller ran the Briggs 5 hp. flat head.

If you are wanting new, I am pretty sure a Husqvarna dealer can get you one with a Briggs or a Honda engine on it. They could last Spring. I don't know if they have any at the 'box' stores with name brand engines on them or not. The chinese engines are pretty good, but when you do need parts you might be roped into going to a Husqvarna dealer to get them. My experience is carburetor parts for any of the Chinese engines are hard to come by, but they will sell you a new carburetor.
