Case 444 serial #/year?

I recently purchased a Case 444 with a mower deck and 48" snowblower. It did not come with owner manuals. I want to find the year to the tractor so I can get the correct manuals and also so want to restore to original paint and get correct decals. The serial # is 14008616. What year is it? What would the correct decals be?(I can't tell what decals they are because some where in its past the decals where stripped off and tractor looks as someone repainted it with a rattle can and did not replace the decals) Also what is a good recommendation to get new and used parts for it as it may need a few things. Thanks for any help!

I am not sure what chart TOMIN is reading but IMHO.....your tractor is a 1981. The correct paint colour is Power Red with a black grille. The wheel rims are Power White.. Ironically, the Operator's Manual and the Parts Manual are identified by the PIN sequence,, not by the year of the tractor. The Parts Manual will help you determine the correct decals for your tractor and you should be able to obtain them from Maple Hunter in Texas .

New parts can be purchased from

OR

Either Bob or Brian will serve your needs very well. Both are highly knowledgeable and can be trusted.

USED Parts can be found on e-Bay or you can try Ken Combs of this very forum. At least with Ken, you can be sure that the used parts your receive are correct and still useable. And if there is a problem, Ken will stand behind what he sells.

I guess I was looking at serial 140xxxxx rather than 1400xxxx My eyes or brain are a bit cloudy early in the morning.

Don't forget Bill and Charlie at Barneveld Equipment. The best dealer around. Just my opinion. Brian at Salem Power is good also. Free manual downloads can be had at www.casecoltingersoll.com too. They have most manuals, owner, parts and accessory service manuals.
