Sears SS18 Twin transmission gear needed (1976?)

My neighbor is rebuilding the gear drive transmission and he discovered 2nd gear has two badly chipped teeth. The info he gaveme is:
Model 848GAO18/3417A
Serial number A783308735
On Tranny Tag is stamped "17262" and "Type of Trans 633A92".
The 2nd and 3rd gear are integral to each other, produced as one part. Outside 38 teeth and next one 29 teeth. There is a shift fork slot inbetween gears. There is a splined hole through center of gears consisting of 9 pointed flat topped teeth. I told him I could very likely find him a good used 2nd/3rd gear to buy over the internet. I thought I'd start here since you all have been very helpful in the past.

Tractor data com appears to have all the basic data on this tractor and a great photo same as his tractor.

That model number should start with a 'B' not an '8'. That info is the engine model, Onan, and the serial is also the engine serial.

There should be another tag with the tractor info.

I think that will be a Peerless trans.

When you get the tractor ID, search eBay.

Looks like Sears still has a few parts available, but apparently not the gear you need.

FWIW, below is a link, at least it will give you a parts diagram and possibly a part number to help in your search.
633A92

That looks like what we need! Thank you. His tran type is 633A81 and ours is 633A92. I wonder what last two digits stand for?
