Here is a photo of my 1962 Original. Nice little tractor. Looking for a set of lights for it.

It's the model designation, so an unrestored tractor
like that would be called an original original. They were
originally called simply "Cub Cadet" until IH got the idea
to make models with more horsepower, and eventually became
known as "narrow frame" when IH decided they needed bigger
engines yet, and hydrostatic drive, and hydraulic lift, and
power steering.

I bought this cub over the summer. Just how it looks in the picture. I
am the 3rd owner. The previous owner did a good job with making
sure it ?looked factory?. Correct paint color, correct front and rear
tires, oil bath breather and copper fuel line, etc. However, the paint
job is not perfect. My plans are: a complete tear down and powder
coat. The tractor also has a Danco ud-6 creeper?(don?t know much
about it, just reading the name stamped on the gear box) so, I will be
installing that too.

Any help and or advice will help from you guys!

nice.. I have a old sears that looks kinda like that more bla yellow and white.. I use it as a chore tractor at present
and keep chains on rear tires as it goes through mud and snow without any problems.. Keep chains on all year round too.

I thought of repainting it but then I wouldnt want to use it..

I'd check out the website "IH CUB CADET.COM", The moderator owns Cub Cadet Specialties, you can find the link to that parts website on the forum page of the website. He has access to all kinds of new old stock Cub Cadet parts, and new parts too. Couple guys that post there know the Originals well.

Yes, that is all good and all.
There are a few other Cub Cadet websites because none are perfect.
If one was, there would be no others.
