Lt160 and a 165-compatiable or not

I was comparing a 160 to a 165. I was wrong. His machine is a LT 160. It had a 16 hp Kohler engine and a 42" mower deck. It also is about 15yrs newer, and it has the foot pedal controls for the Hydro static drive. I tried to compare the info that is on Tractordata, but, they did not provide very detailed information for my 165. Would my 38" mower deck attach the same as his 42", which he is selling separately? Will the Kawasaki engine have the same bolt pattern as the Kohler? Will 12.5 hp be powerful enough to cut grass and run the hydro static drive?
Thank you

NOT.... you could swap the motor into it without too much trouble but nothing on the two is interchangable.... wheels and tires maybe.

Thank you. I will see if he is willing to include the mower deck. If not then I will decline his offer.

You would have one big advantage buying the LT 160
because there were lots more sold. Look around for one
with a good hydro that someone ran out of oil. They are
usually free or dirt cheap.

I picked up a 130 with a manual today... the manual covers 130/160/165/180/185 so those wood be your best options for models with interchangable parts.
