Hey, have 58 Dandy with the original 9hp B&S on it, and in need of an oil change. It's been sitting for a few years, got it running again, but not sure what kind of oil to run in it. Any ideas ? Also looking for price, availability, and location for implements for it as well. Thanks ahead of time.

Most of the LGT's of that era ran straight 10 weight when the temperature was
below 32 degrees F and straight 30 weight above that. Modern oils work well
but you may have some consumption with lighter multigrades.

Yup...just a good straight 30wt. Hd will do ya. Have fun with it. If
it smokes a little she could have some stuck rings. Maybe a 1/4 cup of
sea foam in the crank case and run it an hour or two just driving
around or mowing if it has a mower. Then drain and refill. A little
Sea foam in the gas too. It is really great stuff. Just my opinion
tonight.

Use a good 30 wt oil in it unless it'll be sitting outside in Jan and want to start and run it your engine should be a B&S model 23
GB in MN
