Grandkids left key on & burned up points, new points & condenser still have very week spark,could this have damaged the coil also? Thanks in
advance.
 
Answer is YES. The thing with a coil if it gets half arse cooked it usually just frys or blows up. Does the engine run? If not you might need the coil too. Coils are only "on" for a few degrees of an engines rotation.
