Massey Ferguson 12 hydro issues

I just picked up a model 12 Hydro Drive with Hydraulic lift at an estate sale. I got it running with little effort but it will run for about 5 minutes and die. It will not start back up right away. Walk away from it for an hour, then it will start. I'm thinking the coil gets hot. I have no experience with the Solid Stand Ignition. Any advice?
Also, the hydraulic lift does not work at all. Where on the belt driven pump in the front do you check/add oil?

If your Tecumseh HH12 engine DOES, in fact have electronic ignition, they are known to get "flaky", but confirm that it's an ignition problem by checking for spark when it dies/won't start.

LOTS of info on these (obsolete) Tecumseh engines on the 'net.

The outfit linked below has replacements for nla Tecumseh EI's.
