So my case starts up and runs great show's that it's charging at 14 volts then it completely dies and shows no volts is the solenoid going bad? Any information would be helpful!

Solenoid is only used for starting.

Sounds like a circuit breaker tripping, but in looking at some 444 diagrams on the 'net, all I see is a fuseholder somehwere near the ignition switch, could be a burned or loose connection there, or anywhere in the wiring from the post on the starter solenoid where the battery cable connects, to the ignition switch, to the coil, to the breaker points.

Or, even a "bad"/failing igntion switch.

Had that problem just a couple of weeks ago. My big Husqvarna took a total electrical dump. The fuse holder went bad. Had some crud in it and it cooked a little. A fuse holder is usually in the harness wire in the amp gauge line tapping off from the batery connection on a solinoid post. Was a 20 amp. fuse. Next culprit might be a defective key switch.

what does "completely dies and shows no volts" mean?
just the extra charge voltage reading while still running goes to zero?
How or at what spots did you measure the 14 volts?
i.e. battery cable ends at battery or on the actual battery posts?

I have hab a bad/poor battery post connection allow vehicle to start. But not allow vehicle to charge the battery.
