Cub Cadet Tire Sizes

Im looking to get some ag tires for the back of my Cub Cadet 125 and I found some 23x10.50x12 tires, I am not sure if they will fit as the tires on the mower now are 23x8.50x12. If anybody knows if they fit or if they have that size tire on their cub 125 let me know.

Since they are 2" wider than what you have,if you have more than 1" clearance between tire and tractor they "should" work! YMMV

+1 on checking if you have enough clearance between the deck and tire.

All use the 4 1/2" on 5 bolt pattern. The difference come in the rim itself with different back spacing and such for using wider tires.

If you do not have enough clearance for the tire to clear the frame. You can buy tons of 4 1/2 - 5 wheel spacers from all over the interweb.

I ordered the tires but they decided to just cancel the order
and I got 23x8.50x12 tires because I thought 23x10.50x12
tires would look silly on a 7 inch rim, I just hope they don?t
cancle this order of tires. Thanks though.

Why would it look silly?

My Husqvarna GTH2754 has 7" wide rear wheels and it came with 23-10.5 -12 tires.

Wanting something better than Turf Savers and not as aggressive as Ag tires. I bought a set of STI Slasher AT Trail Tires.

100 Times better traction than Turf Savers and will not tear up the grass like an Ag tire.

While I agree that Turf tires cause you to lose traction and spin a rear tire which tears up the grass,
makes a bare spot, I completely DISAGREE that lugged tires tear up the grass. I have had Firestone
lugged tires on one of my Cub Cadet tractors for 20 years, and on the other bigger tractor for 15 years,
mowed exclusively with both tractors for years. No slippage no tearing up the grass once I put the
lugged tires on. Bought new Cub Cadet TANK zero turn three years ago with turf tires, on pivot turns I
leave a bare spot every time.

But NOT going back to mowing with a tractor, oldest mower took about 6 hours to mow, bigger tractor 4
hours, Zero turn always less than 2-1/2 hours, got some stumps to grind out and I'll be under 2 hours,
not sure I can get under 1-1/2 hours but I'm going to try.

I do not think a blanket statement like than can be said for every lawn.
Lug tires will definitely hurt a new seeded lawn in dirt that does not pack well.
My "lawn" here in Florida is crappy, nutrient poor, powdered sugar type sand that was a wild field 18 months ago.
It is filling in and maybe in five years it will be rooted well enough and have a thick enough "mat" to use ag tires.

A lot of nice flat lawns here have been damaged by ag tires. The lawns have ruts cut into them over time they look like washboards. While the lawn next door is smooth and flat.

Never did understand why some one would put ag tires on a lawn tractor when everything they mow is flat and level. A wannabe or small go-nad problem is they only reason I can think of.

My neighbor and I bothe have a JD GT 235 lawn tractor with ag tires on them. They do quite well. They don?t skid up the lawn like turf tires do. Also, the ag tires don?t mash the grass down...there is grass standing up between the bars...
The front ends of these tractors will slide sideways when moving along a bank and when you want to turn upwards. I think if ag tireswere on the fron also, this would not happen.
I will order my next tractor with ag tires on all 4.
