case mower drive belt

I've got a case garden tractor that broke the drive belt to the mower. Chewed it up enough so I can't get a real accurate
measurement on it. No model numbers on tractor but has a Kohler K241A motor and a 48 inch deck. As close a measurement as I can get
is a 4L650 belt. Appreciate any help.
 
jaybird, I have many Case manuals (& 5 tractors). Probably can help you out. Do you not have a decal on the panel,near the instruments showing model ? What color is the tractor, All Desert Sunset or two-tone, Power Red. As far as I know, only model 220's had a K241-10hp engine. And I never saw a 48" deck on a 220. it's possible. Any decal on the Deck with model number?
Maybe you could 'google' Case 220 and find a matching picture.. The age is important and how the deck connects. Is it a 'snap-fast' type hookup? my email is open.
 
looks as 4L650 is a 65" belt, Most likely the correct length. However, I think most Case belts are supposed to be wider then 1/2 inch ??? and often replaced with 1/2" but then slightly shorter. Need input from Tom Arnold !
 
Get the OEM belt if you want it to last Barnevled Implement in WI ships and stocks all you need for it 608-924-1662 Great guys to deal with too

I agree with the OEM belt. They are 9/16" wide. 1/2 will work but not last as long. Barnveld or salempwr.com either are good to deal with and know their stuff!

Look for a tag low on the dash tower in front of the seat. And, if no decal on the deck, measure to be sure of the width, blade tip to blade tip. As others have stated, 220s are the only models with a 10hp Kohler, unless it is one of the really old 1xx models. And a 48 deck would be a load for it.
