Anybody out there have a decent deck for a
1975 vintage Jacobsen?
Happens to be the same as what Ford's had
in that era.
Mines a 42" cut 3 blade.

I have a bare deck that I sand blasted and painted 20 or more years ago. It is pitted on the under side but, as I recall, there are no cracks or welds. I probably could come up with all the pieces that go on the deck too because I have a whole bunch of other decks that are rusted through.
I never used this deck because I bought an LGT-165 that had a nearly new deck on it.
I don't want to go thru the hassle of shipping it....if you could come to pick it up, we can sort thru all the rusty decks for the mechanical parts to make it complete.
$200. I live about 50 miles west of Albany and 10 miles south of Cobleskill, NY.

Thanks for your reply Brian.
Unfortunately I'm in Wisconsin in
Germantown.
I'll continue my search and keep you in
mind.

It is rusting through in several places. Otherwise OK.
I actually have some holes duct taped to keep the dust from coming up at me when I mow.

Yepper, looks like you need a new one. Neighbor bought a new one for his 20 hp 46" cut and was out 500 bucks he said....that's just the sheet metal part. You won't believe what I saw him do with the new one when he went to take it home.......quickly realized just why he needed a new one of a mower just a few years old. He deserved to have to pay the price. Maybe he'll take my advice and be more careful next time.
