Hello all was wondering about tire sizes.. I am looking to swap the stock tires out for the ribbed ones and was curious about the size.
i know the stock size is 16x6.50-8 but i have seen where guys put 18x8.50-8 tires on the front.

Can the 18x8.50 tire fit on the stock rim or do I need different rims. I have seen where some people use the 455 rim?? just curious of the differences.

You could probably squeeze an 18-8.50x8 tire onto the rim for a 16-6.50x8 but it would look bad, would
pull the sidewalls in too far. I have 18-8.50x8 tires on a Cub Cadet 982 and it has totally different
wheels than used with 16-6.50x8 tires.

That 18" tall tire might end up being 18.5 or 19 on a too narrow rim.

Are you going to need to readjust your mower deck cutting height?
Also make sure the larger dia. tire will not touch the deck.
Not likely.

Thanks for the info and input guys.. I do not plan on running a mower deck at all.

I will look around for a larger rim if I decide to go with the larger tire..
