Adjustment?

I have a Cub Cadet GT 2542 lawn tractor with the 42" deck.
It has 800+ hrs. on it & the deck is not cutting properly any more.
I want to adjust the deck back to its proper angle.
Should I level (side to side) the forward or rear ends of the deck first before setting to the 1/4" difference?

Down load the owners PDF manual if you can't find it. All four tires must have the correct pressure. Measure side to side. Then measure front to rear. I set my decks at 3/8 of an inch down pitch. That way you do not get multiple blade cuts. NOW.... are your blades straight? Did you really wack something and warp the deck? The most precise way to measure a deck is on concrete. With little wood blocks position the blades and measure front back side side. Cheap decks can be warped. Also is the bottom of your deck spotless clean. Built up crud messes up the cut. One more. The machines built by AYP. American Yard Products, they have little bolt on baffles on the bottom edges. They MUST be there. In the back portion of your deck did that double bent baffle break out. That directs the air flow. Just some possible answers.
