Cub cadet 149 pto rod and turn buckle

Thanks Bob the rod says call I'll see if it's available .I see the rod closest to tractor is 42.00$ wow i wonder if I could make one from rod .are treads on both ends right hand.

If you GOOGLE the numbers, there's other sources for the parts, as well, probably find used parts.

I'd ASSUME on side of the turnbuckle is LH thread, and the other RH, but I do not know for sure.

If it were me, I'd make my own turnbuckle out of a LH nut and an RH nut, and a short length of pipe.

You should be able to find LH nuts and rod or a long bolt at Mcmaster.com. (IF an LH rod is needed.)

Some years ago, I put a 3-point hitch on an Neww Holland garden tractor, found a lot of the parts NOS, but had to make a couple of turnbuckles just as I've described.

Scour the Cub Cadet Salvage Yards for a good used one:

Watch E-Bay, it's not to hard to find them there. Turnbuckle isn't all that special, figure out what stock size the rod is and most Hardware stores will have them. Actually the rod shouldn't be that difficult to make if you have a torch and a die, assuming you need the side that has the standard (RH) thread on it.
