I have a green 212, K301. cranks over good but no fire. Very weak spark. coil is 8.8k prim to sec. Any suggestions on part(s) to start with. Thanks

Use a multimeter or test light before you start buying parts.
You need twelve (up to 13.6) volts on the positive side of the coil with the ignition key on.
Negative side of the coil should have one wire to the condenser and the other wire to the points.
Make sure the insulation is not burned or rubbed through on the wire from the negative terminal to the engine.
The points have to fully close once every other revolution.
The point gap should be .020 fully open. That's how you set the timing.
Clean the points with a piece of rough paper or fine emery cloth. Clean off any grit or other residue.
Clean off the spark plug or just replace it.
Make very sure the engine is actually getting gas.

Hi:
I am glad to see you posted your solution! I also have a JD 212 and when I had problems I got help from this forum.
