Does anyone know where I can get a shop manual for a Cub Cadet GT2542 lawn tractor?
I have the owners & parts manuals but I want a shop manual with instructions for overhauling the Kohler engine.

Google " Cub Cadet GT 2542 Operator's Manual " , 4 down should be a 48 page free PDF manual, take a look and see if that is what you are looking for..

If you find the actual model number on the Kohler engine, and go to the www.kohlerengines.com website you can download the factory Kohler engine Service Manual for FREE in .pdf format.

What's the model # of the engine?

Thanks Bob;

I guess what I meant was the Service Manual for the tractor including the Kohler engine & the rear differential/axle assy. I also have the owners Manual for the Kohler engine.
When I bought the tractor it was with the proviso that I would get all of the manuals with it.
The shop/service manual was only on line so they gave me a link & I downloaded it. Unfortunately I have changed computers & have lost it.

So, that is what I want now. If anyone has that link & could send it to me I would greatly appreciate it.
This time I will put on a thumb drive.

I neglected to tell you the Model of the engine is CH208.
