Power King tractor needing a 14 hp Kohler?

Hi all, I've been looking for a Power King tractor for some time but there just aren't that many here in MN, found a 1614 tractor that is apart the engine is missing it seized busted a rod and the case the tractor is in decent condition been inside has a 3 pt hitch ag tires and a mower deck but no engine. Anyone know of a Kohler K321 series engine for a PK ? As I understand it it has to be an engine with 11/8" CS and have provisions for a PTO on the flywheel side of the engine any help would be appreciated.

You probably need the type and spec number since Kohler had different versions of this engine. I used one of their short block's on a JD140 back in 1980. Check with smallenginewarehouse. Hal

You could probably use any kohler K321-341 eng with a 1 1/8" shaft as most/all K series eng had tapped holes in flywheel to mount a stub shaft ext or some type of adapter to mount/drive pulley or pto,the problem being adapter may have been furnished by kohler or may be oem by power king,you'll probably have to try and find out spec# of orig eng(might try tractor data website)then try looking eng up at partstree,depending on spec# there are a couple of different adapters shown(expensive IF still avail)if you don't have adapter in loose parts for tractor,it probably went with old eng,another problem is you may have to change ign sw & do some rewiring depending on ign system on replacement eng(12v or solid state)

You could put in a new PK K321 if you are planning on keeping the tractor. They are in stock at Mission Sales....$1300.00 will get you a new one! They come up on Ebay time to time. K301 thru K361 will fit that tractor. You could repower with newer Vanguard, company name is repowereng.com they should be able to help out.
