MF10 steering box

The steering box on my MF10 seems to have piled up. Does someone know if the steering gear box is specific to only MF or do they use the same steering as some other tractors. The transmission on this unit is the same Peerless as the older John Deere's use. Just wondering if the steering system might be like that as well. Parts for this MF are getting scarce.

Depending or yr of tractor same mfg built mf,simplicity & allis tractors,take mod/sn with you to a local simplicity dealer & see if he can lookup or try ebay,I used to get parts for my mf8 at simplicity dealer(mine was an early 70's tractor)

Yeah mines early 70's if not late 60's. I work for a deere dealer (not in the lawn and garden dept) I was hoping to get parts there. Here is the thing. I don't know how I will get that steering wheel off. Rusted on real bad and already cracked up quite bad. No holes for a bolt grip puller. Don't think I can remove the steering box out the bottom without taking the wheel off. Any tricks? Someone may have had this issue before.
