ok guys here is the status, tomorrow is the big day. I will be cranking freshly rebuilt 63 Super over for first time. Plan is to start her up, bring her to temp and retorque head and reset valves. Which brings me to this question, when retorquing head bolts do I go in order of 1 thru 17 , or do I go backwards 17 thru 1. Wish me luck

Start in the middle and work outward, I never went by numbers.

Agree with Skipper, start in the middle then work outwards doing one bolt either side, in turn.
