My 63 super major 5000 stayed in the shed all last winter without being cranked fired it up about two months ago to do some bush hogging which I did and still doing probably have run it about 40 hours this summer. When I fired it up for the first time this year its ran a high idle I checked all the linkage all the way to the lever on the injector pump its going all the way it runs great throttles up as it should just want throttle all the way down Ideas Thanks Kip

Is it getting fuel ok to the injection pump, fuel filter and tank screen clean? Have you changed the oil in the injection pump? My S/M 5000 was slow to idle down on account of corrosion and wear inside of injection pump and having it rebuilt solved it.
