Hi Form Members. Today I,m on the bum.. I,m looking for the latest design unloader valve to install in my 1956 Fordson Major Diesel. Presently it has the original old design . Part # E1ADKN-994601. They were used till August of 1958. After that date E1ADDN-994601 was used in production of the Fordson Power Major & some late production Fordson Majors .. . Both designs used the same part # seat. E1ADKN-994608. I live in Canada & can,t find a parts source. Not even on EBAY. In summary , if anyone can tell me where I can get the PFM relief (unloader) valve it would be appreciated. .Used is fine if in usable condition. These Power Major valves had 6 holes drilled thru the body around the tip to prevent the necessity of a re-set of the control lever , to reseat the un-loader valve , to re-gain working hydraulic pressure. Even if a new design is,nt available I can modify the old style valve to prevent re-set , if the newer one is,nt available. Hoping someone may have what I,m looking for in their garage or in the junk. Il,ll post a picture of the parts.

This post is a reply to my first post on July 11/21. I lucked out just recently and found a Fordson Major ,on the junk, that although equipped with standard 3 point hitch hydraulics ,(minus the rear linkage), had spent its entire life as a backhoe ,, using a front mounted , crank driven hydraulic pump. The valve bank for the 3 point hitch was like new inside.. Although not the Fordson Power major design unloader valve I was searching for , I discovered a You Tube video showing how to modify the early unloader valves to give the very same characteristics as the newer design used in the Power Major. This guy is bang-on.. I just completed the modification today & am very happy with the results. The author of the video mentions a slight gain in hydraulic pressure after modification. Again he was right on. My pressure test showed a 300 P.S.I. gain , up to 2500 PSI. I re-adjusted my unload pressure to 2200 .. I,m very happy indeed. I recommend for you guys to watch this You Tube video. Its only 4 to 5 minutes long.. Anyway ,, thanks for looking.
