I took my radiator apart today.Theres a tube that goes through the radiator,I guess its a overflow.But it doesnt go through the bottom tank.Looks like its been blocked off.Is it suppose to go through the bottom tank and if so what seals it

I Went Jonglin hardware in Painesville for example ,they have some very knowledgeable people and they had ac refrigeration tubing that the right size diameter to fit in the fitting in the bottom of tank . Or you can replace with what Fordson house has your choice,
Oh if you have trouble removing the fitting from bottom of tank be very careful heating the lower tank to get it out , fitting Is brass and it expands faster than cast so slowly preheat large area of tank first slow and easy , you do not want to crack the tank .

Thanks,I figured mine out and i believe mines ok.Talked with MR Helman at Rosewood machine he said try not to remove the nut and just drill it out and rethread it
 
The reassemble of radiator is a two man job. The weight of the top tank is to much . Use permatex gasket maker around new gaskets. You do not want any leaks. I got new hold down straps from Fordson house. Mine were to rusted . I went to hardware store and got new 1/4 28 nuts and bolts . The studs I ran a clean out die down. I made it a point to scrape the tank surfaces to get them ready for new gaskets .
I had a leak between the head and the top tank outlet . So I went to hardware store and bought 1/8 cork sheet and made a new gasket with modeling exacto knife . Put some permatex on gasket and slide it in the gap and thighen the four bolts . That sealed it nicely .
