Snow blowing yesterday after five lanes the hydraulics quit completely. No lift bucket or lift arms . The pto shaft free wheels , will not engage. Any thoughts on my problem an possible fix. Cheers

The hydraulic pump drives from the rear of the PTO shaft so your problem is further
forward I would think. Is it a "Live Drive" with a dual clutch? If so it could be a
failed clutch plate. You could drain the gearbox oil and take the PTO selector off to
check the gear and selector mechanism.

The hydraulics do run off the pto on the super major. If the pto free wheels, you can pull the side cover off the pto housing, Where the
lower end of the pto lever connects, shift it into gear, have someone turn the pto shaft, and see if everything turns up to that point.
Stick a bar or heavy screwdriver in the gear, and see if that stops it turning. If it does, the problem is going to be in the clutch
housing. The tractor will need to be split, if that's the case. If you do need to split it, make sure you put good wedges between the front
axle and front bolster, those things will flip on you in the blink of and eye. If you do need to replace the clutch, majorman or I can try
to advise you, they are a breed of their own. I can get the dimensions of the pilot tool for you, or majorman may have them.
