dexta oil pressure please help

I am getting a dexta back up and running after it has set for about 3 years. It is running great and sounds really good but after it warms up good the oil pressure lite will flicker. It does not mater what the engine speed is, it will just flicker. I have put a mechanical gauge in and it does drop for an instant between 50 and 20 psi. I have determined that the drop is when the idler gear oil hole lines up with the oil hole in the spigot. I realize that when the two align the oil pressure has to drop. The light flickering bothers me. What am I missing on this. Although I think the tractor has been run like this I would like to correct the problem
Thanks

I have a new switch in it. Also a mechanical gauge does the same thing. The pressure drops when the hole in the idler gear aligns with the hole in the spigot. When these two holes align the oil is free flowing thru the hole in the idler gear, thus low oil pressure. Am I missing some sort of flow restrictor somewhere
thanks
