Where to source a new radiator for our Major?

We are in the USA, so buying from Agriline would involve some pretty serious shipping charges...

Need radiator, new filler neck, and should probably get a new cap, too.. while we are at it, for a 1954 Major Diesel

Had topped up the radiator couple of weeks ago.. I ran it some - maybe 5-6 hrs.. and then it sat most of last week as it was way too hot & humid for me to be out there doing much (health issues).

doing oil change today and decided to check coolant level while i was up there, and it was low again.. and looking the inside of the radiator over, there are a couple of spots that like kind of like they have leaked.. one spot has obvious fin damage.. cant really see the other side to well with grill and loader stuff in the way.
figuring at 66 yrs old, maybe it should just be replaced for optimum cooling - and be good for another 60+ yrs.

not to mention the filler neck has obviously been patched up more times than a 3yr olds favorite stuffed animal..

I would take it to a good radiator shop, they might be able to fix it. Those old Major radiators were made of some pretty good material, or
they can re core it.

I will repeat what's already been said... have the
original reconditioned it will be much better quality
than buying new.... A word of warning do not run
engine with low coolant as it will damage liner seals
Causing coolant to go into sump
You can probably get new filler neck from uk and if
you are fixing radiator might be good idea to renew
all hoses

Ok... just not sure that there any decent places to get re-coring done around here, but I will check into it further.

hoses are all pretty new and in good condition, but yeah, I am concerned it about the loss of coolant.

Nothing showing up in the oil - did an oil change yesterday.. and aside from being black as night, it was fine.

Thanks for the info, guys! Again!
:D

so just a quick added note here... other half topped up the coolant - said it barely took any at all - quick splash to get it back up into the bottom of the neck - so not losing a lot, but it still bugs me...

need to check all the hose connections and make sure they are tight, and look for any place else it might look like it is leaking from.

Late to the game and not familiar with a 54 Major but, if you are trying to keep the radiator full
to the "bottom of the filler neck" without an overflow bottle, you will be adding fluid every time
you run the machine. Just over the top of the core tubes would be correct without an overflow
system.

Good to know, thank you, Blackhole49

1st time I topped it off it was maybe a half gallon low.. not ideal.

we got a new temp gauge for it, so need to get that installed - when it quits raining.. was supposed to be dry today, but instead we are getting light rain periodically.. which is ok, i guess, we are a little behind on rainfall for the year right now.

The shipping charges from Agraline might not be as high as you think. I just had a FMD
crankshaft sent to Michigan. The DHL charge was about $85.00 to my door. A radiator
doesn't weigh nearly as much as a crankshaft. Ask em for a quote.
