Hey there, when my Major is hot and running it leaks oil out of here. What is this and why is it leaking?

That looks like gear oil, you probably have a leaking seal on the gearbox input shaft.
Check the gearbox oil level. If it is the seal leaking you will need to split her to
replace it.

The reason for the hole and split pin is to allow any oil to drain rather than build up
and get on the clutch.

Well, back in the day I have split them, put a clutch and all the bearings in and
had it back and running in an hour. But then I aged 40 years and now it takes me
about a day.

I use an engine crane and push the front away from the gearbox but also have used a
tractor and loader or a fork lift. Thing to watch is there are two bolts, one either
side, that go in from the front under the side channels, if you leave these in and
then try and prise her apart you will break something. I also use guide bolts when I
reassemble, not to pull her together but to just keep things in line.

You will need to take the clutch operating shaft out to get the seal housing out.
