Possible Dexta purchase

My son found another Fordson he's
interested in buying. Another non-runner,
a Dexta this time, and about half as far
away as the Major he was eyeing.
Story is, it just quit one day while it
was being used. It was "going to be
fixed", but it's been 4 years, and the
owner is moving. Its rough... besides not
running, the hood is gone, and the nose
is pretty beat up. One fender is off,
(rusted?) but still there.
I think the price is about right, even if
he ends up parting it out.
Anything in particular to look at before
he hands over his cash?

Did it just run out of fuel, and they didn't get it bled down?
As you are aware, the biggest factor is probably the condition of the tires.
If it is 1961, or newer, it will have the slow speed first gear, which helps
in rototilling.
It probably needs cleaning of the suction end of the hydraulic lift apparatus.
They never had power steering, but they are a tiny tractor.
They leave something to desire in the ergonomics department, especially climbing
on and off.
In England, Dextas were climbing in value, but now, who knows?
No problem with parts, except some shipping involved.

The numbers I found on the engine and bellhousing have more digits than the serial number list that I have says there should be. Not sure if they're even readable in these pictures.
The tires were better than expected... nearly new when it was parked, and not rotted from what I could see. Rust around the valve stems, of course. Maybe repairable... but being basic 6-loops, replacements wouldn't be hard to find or terribly expensive. The lift pump diaphragm was bad... which MAY be why it quit.
Like I said, it's rough... but Luke handed over the cash, so it's his. Just have to borrow/rent a trailer and pick it up.

The 957E5xxxx indicates a 1960 serial number. I don't know what the other number is,
perhaps Engine No.

CDMN... for whatever reason, your last reply here won't show up for me.

Luke has started tearing down the engine, as it is stuck. Rust in the cylinders, but not terrible. He's hoping to get it back to being a worker... won't ever be a beauty queen.
