SUPER DEXTA STARTER

Have Super Dexta and would like to replace starter with gear reduction unit. Have tried DB 6572 and is not correct anyone had success finding starter that would work.

I saw a gear reduction starter that says it will fit a David Brown 990 but it has only ten not eleven teeth. Unless it has a different diameter starter pinion I don't think it will fit.

Starters for David Brown 990 (or Case 990) are supposed to fit Dexta tractors. They normally have 11 teeth. There are supposed to be a few other interchangeable starters, but I have lost my list.

The best alternative is a starter with the solenoid mounted on the starter. One such is K89772.
