I hope the photo is attached;it's confusing. I have previously read about an oil reservoir at cambox of simms pump on dextas requiring motor oil; on my 2 there doesn't seem to be a fill plug or such thing. Do I just have pumps that don't have this? Any response is appreciated.

That pump does not have oil in it except when put into storage. Lubrication is done by the
diesel fuel oil. With the new diesel fuel I do put some ATF or two stroke oil into the tank
once or twice a year but that is my idea.

The later Dexta and Super Dexta tractors from 1962 had a Simms Minimec pump which requires
oil in the governor housing to lubricate the mechanical governor but yours has a vacuum
governor.

Thanks for reply; yes the new diesel has no sulfur and is rough on engines w/o some addition.

I was told by a diesel repair shop to make a filler plug and periodically fill the pump. This would take care of the problem with low sulfur fuel.
