Just a bit of infomation for you Tractor Vet. Roadless Traction who converted Fordson Majors to four wheel drive made the narrow front for the Majors witch were exported to the USA from Dagenham England. No help to you but a few of these tactors have come back to the UK and are in collectors hands. MJ

These are pictures of the Roadless conversion that MJ mentions. They are a bit like rocking horse manure. There was also another kit offered about the same era by Bettinsons that had a single front wheel. That one is like hens teeth to get hold of.

I read somewhere there were only 50 of those narrow fronts built. No idea if that is true or not. There was one showed up at the local show here in Mi. Nolans in Lapeer had a county four and two county crawlers and there was the narrow front pedestal laying there on a pallet at the estate sale. This was 8 or 10 years ago.

I've bumped into perhaps 4 of them. Maybe two were one tractor that I saw twice.
This photo is of a scavenger/surplus farm machine sale a year ago. I didn't stay to watch. Possibly scrapped, or taken home again. It looks like an early hood. Perhaps the front end was moved to
a different tractor. Or the hood came off a gas tractor. The front end
appears to be the same as my 1956. I had another, which looked more like a welded prototype. The one I still have is for sale. The top poster apparently isn't interested because I got no reply.

That is a Roadless conversion. Ford did put their name on certain converted tractors, over there you know the big six cylinder equal wheeled FWD as a Ford but it was actually a County. We had a six cylinder tractor, the Ford 8100 here that was a County too.
