OK, so I pulled the valve chest carefully, and then the piston and its seal was nicked, so I replaced it. Also cleaned each
valve and chamber. Put it all back together, and ....it still won't hold a lift. So there is a leak somewhere else...where
else could it be?
Did find a cent and a nickel under a valve cover that had been used instead of a seal, so I am 6 cents richer, but I'd
rather have working hydraulics.
